Welcome to the Transitional Learning Center. In operation since 1995, the TLC was designed to provide an alternative education to students who have not been successful in their regular school setting due to behavior, academics, or a combination of both. Our program currently serves students in grades 6-12 that have been referred to us from Lee County Schools, tribunals, or through the court system.
TLC offers a classroom setting with a low student/teacher ratio. Our faculty and staff are a compilation of highly qualified and certified teachers. We offer an academic curriculum aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards that allows students to work at their own pace, teachers to work with students in small group settings, as well as design and provide individualized instruction. The TLC is dedicated to ensuring that individual student needs are addressed, assisting students in goal setting, and creating a learning environment that will develop attitudes, behaviors, and skills which enables students to be academically and socially acceptable.
